Age Range:
3-6
According to Montessori’s philosophy the age range of 3-6 is referred to as the Primary Stage. It is a time in the child’s growth when they are greatly influenced by their environment. Everything is consciously being captured and stored in their mind. They are building habits, skills and inner disciplines that can shape their future learning. This is the perfect time to introduce them to Jesus.
The Primary classroom is not just about academics it is about a relationship where the child’s intellectual, spiritual and emotional needs are met. They become joyful, purposeful and peaceful human beings.
Blending the age groups allows the younger children to learn from the older peers and older children to reinforce their skills by becoming mentors. They all get to practice being social and empathetic, making for a more independent class room setting.
